Australian Milk Output Seen DroppingWASHINGTON - May 17/05 - SNS -- Fluid milk production in Australia should decline this season because of the impact of recent dryness on pasture conditions in key producing states. The U.S. agricultural attache for the country expects this to result in drop in fluid milk production from 10.38 million metric tons (MT) in 2003-04 to 10.2 million this season, or just under 10.0 billion liters based on a conversion factor of 1.03.
