CN Served Strike NoticeTORONTO - May 16/05 - SNS -- CN Rail has been served strike notice by the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC), which says its 1,750 members will walk off the job at 0001 hours May 18, 2005 unless a settlement is reached. CN remains optimistic that it can reach an agreement with the TCRC without labor disruption, although no further negotiations are scheduled. The TCRC represents locomotive engineers. CN says it has contingency plans to maintain core freight operations in the event of a TCRC strike.
