Dairy Product Markets Mostly Weaker
WASHINGTON - May 13/05 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were mostly weaker for the seven days finishing May 7, reveals this USDA data.
Cheddar Cheese prices obtained for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.49 per pound. The price per pound declined 5.6 cents versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.43 per pound, down 5.9 cents compared to the previous week.
Butter prices paid for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.40 per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 4.0 cents compared to last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 92.9 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound increased 0.4 cents compared to last week.
