Sheep Sales Pull Aussie Auction UpSYDNEY - Apr 15/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd jumped during the past week as the number of sheep on offer doubled. Throughput for the week totalled 41,848 sheep and lambs, up from 22,110 head the previous week for a second week of increased sales activity. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 1,476, compared to 2,975 last week, offsetting the previous week's gains. "The markets appear confused at present as stock are traded from one drought area to another, up and down the country," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
