Greek Optimistic About Peach HarvestWASHINGTON - Apr 14/05 - SNS -- Peach production levels are expected to increase this year in Greece, while apricot output will likely be unchanged from last year, according to a recent report by the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. Total peach production is forecast at 800,000 metric tons (MT), up from 740,000 MT last year, and includes 500,000 MT of clingstones and 300,000 MT of freestones.
