Peruvian Sugar Crop to RecoverWASHINGTON - Apr 12/05 - SNS -- Sugar production in Peru is expected to recover this year to a projected 850,000 metric tons (MT) after severe drought slashed the 2004 crop. Commenting on the situation, the U.S. agricultural attache for the country said the projected 8% increase in output "is due to better weather conditions that are allowing the industry to recover the level of production somewhat."
