Steady Pace for French Field Pea SalesPARIS -Apr 12/05 - SNS -- Field pea export clearances from France maintained a steady pace through February, with the country shipping 38,690 metric tons (MT) to all destinations, little changed from January, but up 42% from the same month last year. Data assembled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) reveals virtually all the peas shipped were destined for European buyers, lifting the percentage of field peas sold to Europe to 81.4% of this season's export total, up from 70.1% by this time in 2003-04.
