Eggs Used by Manufacturers Jumps
WASHINGTON - Apr 7/05 - SNS -- Food manufacturers reported a solid increase in the quantity of eggs used in February, with the USDA reporting a 9% increase over last year at 155 million dozen shell eggs broken.
During calendar year 2005, shell eggs broken totaled 315 million dozen, up 9% from the 288 million dozen broken in 2004. Total edible liquid from eggs broken in 2005 was 408 million pounds, up 11% from 2004.
