USDA Buys for 13,740 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Apr 6/05 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 13,740 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid. Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 045, the pulses bought are for shipment between May 6 and 27. In releasing tender of the tender result, the USDA said offers on 2,390 MT of whole yellow peas were "rejected due to price." This decreased the total purchased from a requested 9,640 MT to an actual 7,250 MT, with the average price paid slipping from last month's tenders.
