EPA Authorizes Domark for N.D. Soybeans

FARGO - Mar 30/05 - SNS -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has granted a quarantine exemption so North Dakota soybean growers can use Domark 230 ME Fungicide for control of Asian soybean rust.

The exemption allows a single ground or aerial application of Domark 230 ME at a rate of 4 to 6 fluid ounces of product per acre. Applicators must follow directions, restrictions, worker protection standard requirements and precautions on the EPA-registered label and all use directions on the exemption label.

They must also have the exemption label in their possession during application. Growers must observe a 24-hour restricted entry interval and may not apply Domark 230 ME after growth stage R-5.

A maximum of 1.5 million acres of soybeans may be treated in North Dakota. Domark 230 ME is manufactured by Isagro, USA.
