Smaller Latin American Bean HarvestVANCOUVER - Mar 24/05 - SNS -- Projected increase in dry edible bean production in Argentina will be more than offset by forecast declines in the size of this year's bean crop in Brazil, resulting in a net decline in bean output in the two primary producing nations in Latin America. The Brazilian government is forecasting bean production will fall from 3.44 million metric tons (MT) in 2003-04 to a projected 3,356,300 MT this season. The overall planted area for this crop cycle reached 4,152,900 hectares, down 3.2% compared to 2003-04. Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
