Cotton Ginnings Advance in 2004WASHINGTON - Mar 22/05 - SNS -- Cotton ginnings totalled 23.08 million 480-pound bales in the United States during 2004, jumping 26.5% ahead of 2003, according to the USDA. Upland cotton accounts for nearly 98% of the total; while Amer-Pima cotton accounted for the balance, with 743,200 bales ginned in 2004, up 71.9% from 2003.
