Hop Stocks Slip in United StatesWASHINGTON - Mar 18/05 - SNS -- The quantity of hops held by growers, dealers, and brewers on March 1, 2005, totaled 61.0 million pounds, reports the USDA, 28% less than last year and 26% below the stocks on hand the same date in 2003 "This is the lowest March 1 stocks since 1974 when 58.64 million pounds were held," said the USDA.
