Moderate Decrease in Japanese PulsesWASHINGTON - Mar 15/05 - SNS -- Little change is expected in dry edible bean production levels in Japan this year, according to a recent report from the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. Total seeded area is expected to slip from 55,000 hectares in 2003 and 54,000 hectares last year to around 52,000 hectares in 2005. As in the past, small red azuki beans and kidney beans will account for virtually all the country's dry edible bean output this year.
