Aussie Peach and Nectarine Output RisingWASHINGTON - Mar 15/05 - SNS -- Australian stone fruit production is expected to port solid increases in 2005, paving the way for significant increases in export sales activity, argues the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. The Australian stone fruit industry primarily consists of peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, and apricots. On a tonnage basis, most of Australia's stone fruit is grown in Victoria, although significant quantities are also grown in New South Wales and South Australia.
