Canada's Milk Sales Off in January
OTTAWA - Mar 11/05 - SNS -- Sales by Canada's milk and cream producers to dairies slipped 0.8% below year earlier levels in January, totalling 646,900 kilolitres, according to Statistics Canada.
Fluid milk sales stood at 239 200 kilolitres, and industrial milk sales at 407 700 kilolitres. Industrial milk is used to manufacture butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, milk powders and concentrates.
