Agricore's Grain Handle Improves
TORONTO - Mar 10/05 - SNS -- Agricore United says its share of western Canada's grain handle increased during the quarter ending January 31, rising from 33.1% during the same three-month period of the 2003-04 marketing year to 34.8% this season.
The Canadian Grain Commission ("CGC") reported industry shipments of 7.2 million MT of the six major grains (wheat, barley, oats, canola, flax, peas) for the three months ended January 31, 2005, an increase of 334,000 MT (or 4.9%) over the same period in 2004.
