Scoular Buys Kansas FacilityNEW YORK - Mar 8/05 - SNS -- The Scoular Company bought the Sullivan, Incorporated grain elevator facility in Coolidge, Kansas for an undisclosed sum. The facility has space for approximately two million bushels of grain, which Scoular will use to handle primarily wheat, milo and corn. In the coming months, Scoular plans to upgrade the facility to load and unload BNSF 110-car shuttle trains. Scoular took over operations at the facility Monday of this week. Facility operations and management personnel who were formerly employed by Sullivan, Incorporated have been retained and will continue to support the facility under Scoular’s ownership.
