Overweight Container Surcharges
VANCOUVER - Mar 7/05 - SNS -- On June 1, CN Rail will begin assessing surcharges on containers which exceed its allowable weight limits.
The surcharge will come into effect 20 foot containers with more than 50,000 pounds of cargo and on 40 foot containers with more than 60,000 pounds of cargo. The railway has also set maximum weights of 55,000 pounds for 20 foot contains and 65,000 pounds for 40 foot contains.
