Food Grade Peas Finish on Quiet Note
VANCOUVER - Mar 4/05 - SNS -- Markets for food peas finished the week on a relatively quiet note, with relatively slow, but steady export demand absorbing product offered by growers.
Market attitudes were helped by news growers in the United Kingdom are expected to reduce blue or green pea seedings roughly 25% this year. On the other hand, total field pea seedings are expected to rise in the United States and many growers in Canada are looking at emphasizing green over yellow peas this year.
