SWP Has New Grain Volume InsuranceREGINA - Mar 3/05 - SNS -- The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP) opened a new grain volume insurance policy for fiscal 2006 through Toronto-based reinsurance brokerage Aon Re Canada Inc., a unit of Aon Corporation. The Pool's new program is designed to improve earnings and cash flow stability within the company's core business of grain handling in years of poor grain volumes. Coverage under the new grain volume insurance is based on production of the six major crops in Western Canada (wheat, barley, canola, oats, peas and flaxseed) as reported by Statistics Canada. The program provides a maximum payment of $30 million. Partial payments will be triggered if production falls by more than 20% and full pay out will occur if production drops by approximately 45%.
