ADM Expands German Soft Oilseed CapacityNEW YORK - Mar 1/05 - SNS -- ADM will expand its sot oilseed crushing capacity in Oelmuhle Hamburg AG by converting some soybean capacity to rapeseed. "This expansion will enable ADM to service both rapeseed and soy product customers while continuing to meet the growing need in biodiesel," the company said in a press statement. Last year, ADM announced its intention to double the capacity of its biodiesel production plant at Oelmuhle Hamburg AG, which is expected to be operational in 2005. The European Union previously announced its intention to expand market share for renewable biofuels based on the total petrol and diesel consumption for transport purposes by 2010. ADM produces biodiesel and operates integrated soy and rapeseed crushing, refining and biodiesel facilities at its Oelmuhle, Hamburg location.
