No Change in Cost of Farming in U.S.WASHINGTON - Feb 28/05 - SNS -- The cost of farming did not increase in the United States in February, with the USDA leaving its Index of Prices Paid for Commodities and Services, Interest, Taxes, and Farm Wage Rates (PPITW) unchanged at 134% of the 1990-92 average. But, the index i three points higher February 2004 and significantly higher than the index of prices received, with stands at just 113. The USDA said lower prices in February for self-propelled machinery, feed grains, and LP gas were offset by higher prices for feed concentrates, complete feeds, feed supplements, and other machinery.
