Major Jump In U.S. Bean Crop ForecastWASHINGTON - Feb 23/05 - SNS -- The USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS) is looking for dry edible bean seedings in the United States to range between 1.62 million and 1.76 million acres this year as growers in that country respond to this season's significantly higher average market values. A large part of the increase is expected to come from pinto beans, with the ERS believes could reach expand from 650,900 acres in 2004 to a possible 810,000 acres in 2005.
