Initial USDA PL-480 Allocations for 2005WASHINGTON - Feb 23/05 - SNS -- Initial USDA PL-480 Title I, and Title I-funded Food for Progress program allocations for the 2005 fiscal year include an allocation of 2,400 metric tons (MT) of pulses. The pulses are included in Title-1 Food for Progress allocations to Guatemala and Honduras. Guatemala was allocated $4.2 million, which is expected to purchase 11,500 MT of wheat; 6,800 MT of soybeans and products and 1,100 MT of pulses. Honduras was allocated $10.6 million, which is expected to buy 13,300 MT of wheat; 24,000 MT of corn 4,500 MT of rice; 7,500 MT of soybean and products; and 1,300 MT of pulses.
