Australian Pulse Harvest SlashedSYDNEY - Feb 15/05 - SNS -- Australia's pulse harvest was sharply reduced by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE), which slashed it from a projected 1.76 million metric tons (MT) in December to an estimated 1.56 million MT in its latest crop report. With the cuts in output, Australian pulse production is now estimated to be down 25.2% from last year, but well above the meager 1.07 million MT harvested in 2002-03.
