Korea's Ginseng Duties Astronomical

WASHINGTON - Feb 8/05 - SNS -- South Korea is imposing astronomical emergency import duties on ginseng and ginseng based products in an effort to "prevent surges in imports from hurting local industries."

The revisions took effect January 1 and last until December 31, according to a summary report from the U.S. agricultural attache for the country.
