Brazil Projects 2.7 MMT Pork HarvestWASHINGTON - Feb 3/05 - SNS -- Brazilian pork production is expected to reach nearly 2.7 million metric tons (MT) in 2005, nearly 3% higher than last year. The U.S. agricultural attache for the country says the increase is the result of higher demand from both export and domestic markets. The Center-West region of Brazil will drive most of the increase in pork production as a result of large investments by foreign and Brazilian companies.
