Brazil Expects Larger Beef OutputWASHINGTON - Feb 3/05 - SNS -- Brazilian beef production is projected to increase 6% in 2005 to nearly 8.5 million metric tons (MT) in the face of improved domestic demand on account of higher consumer confidence and purchasing power, says the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. The situation will be helped by forecasts of higher beef exports. "However, some analysts estimate that the current Real/U.S. Dollar exchange rate could adversely impact exports of beef in 2005," the agricultural attache noted.
