Poland Pushes Organic FarmingWASHINGTON - Feb 3/05 - SNS -- The Polish government is promoting organic farming in that country as an alternative to growing genetically modified (GMO) crops and is offering special subsidies for those who convert, reports the U.S. agricultural attache for the country. In fact, there are slightly over 2,000 farms certified as organic or in the transition period.
