India Projects Smaller Pulse HarvestVANCOUVER - Jan 27/05 - SNS -- The Indian government expects this season's total pulse harvest to decline from last year, but this is not expected to result in much change in import activity unless landed costs for pulses decline further. Data released during the week revealed the country's agriculture department expects total pulse output in 2004-05 to reach 13.67 million metric tons (MT), down from the record 15.23 million MT grown in 2003-04. The country was hoping to produce 15.3 million MT of pulses this season. Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
