Mustard Seedings to Fall in 2005VANCOUVER - Jan 21/05 - SNS -- Agriculture Canada is looking for production of mustard and buckwheat to decline in 2005 as growers abandon mustard in favor of other crops. In its latest monthly review of Canadian mustard seed, Agriculture Canada's market analysis branch in Winnipeg noted Statistics Canada estimates last year's harvest rose 35% to 305,000 MT. Agriculture Canada also predicted production in Canada would drop in 2005 to 185,000 MT, with harvested area forecast to drop 24.3% to 568,000 acres.
