Australian Auction Sales AdvanceSYDNEY - Jan 21/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd during the past week rose above week earlier levels, as expanded sheep numbers more than offset a decline in cattle. Throughput for the week totalled 26,813 sheep and lambs, up from 19,835 last week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 1,886, down from 1,992 last week. "Despite some really excellent results in the cattle section, the balance of the offering, and likewise both sheep sales were on a harder trend this week," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
