Shell Egg Use Jumps in November
WASHINGTON - Jan 18/05 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers in the United States jumped 10% over year earlier levels in November, reaching 156 million dozen eggs, says the USDA.
This lifted calendar year to date usage to 1.76 billion dozen, up 5% from the 1.67 billion dozen broken in 2003. Total edible liquid from eggs broken in 2004 was 2.27 billion pounds, up 6% from 2003.
