USDA Cuts All Hay Estimate 5%WASHINGTON - Jan 12/05 - SNS -- Production of dry hay for 2004 is estimated at 158 million tons, down 5% from the October 1 forecast but up fractionally from the 2003 total, according to the USDA's 2004 annual crop production summary. Area harvested, at 61.9 million acres, is up less than 1% from the October forecast but down 2% from 2003.
