Ontario Wheat Board Hires Devitt
GUELPH - Jan 11/05 - SNS -- The Ontario Wheat Producers' Marketing Board (OWPMB) hired Crosby Devitt for the new position of Manager of Research and Innovation.
The marketing board said the "position of Manager of Research and Innovation was created to give more emphasis to our research priorities and initiatives to advance the interests of Ontario wheat. Through innovation, we plan to position the Ontario wheat producer to be on the leading edge of developments in varieties, crop management practices and market opportunities."
Crosby’s focus will be to optimize the use of research funds in identifying and managing Board-driven research projects and to effectively communicate the results achieved to producers and industry stakeholders, said Larry Shapton, General Manager, OWPMB.
