West Coast Reduction Enters BiodieselTORONTO - Jan 11/05 - SNS -- British Columbia's West Coast Reduction Ltd. (WCRL) is entering the biodiesel distribution business and considering construction of a plant in western Canada, says Ridley Bestwick, WCRL's CIO. "We plan to initially distribute B100 (100% biodiesel) meeting ASTM D 6751 specifications to customers on Vancouver Island and in the Greater Vancouver area." The company is deeply involved in Canada's rendering industry, processing inedible animal by-products from the meat, poultry and fish processing industries and recycling used restaurant grease. The removal and rendering of inedible animal by-products is an essential service that protects the environment and creates products including protein meals, fats and oils used in the animal feed, oleo-chemical, soap and biodiesel industries.
