Tajikistan Harvest More CottonWASHINGTON - Dec 28/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in Tajikistan ended up higher than initial thought as good harvest weather conditions offset earlier worries about insect infestations in some important growing areas. Official cotton seed production estimates now total 558,500 metric tons (MT) almost 10% lower than the state plan; while cotton fiber output is expected to range between 160,000 and 170,000 MT.
