India Expecting Record Cotton Harvest
WASHINGTON - Dec 10/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in India is now expected to reach a record 19.2 million 170-kilogram bales (170 kg), according to the U.S. agricultural attache for the country.
"This is due to higher cotton planting and improved yield prospects on account of continued favorable weather and soil moisture conditions," the agricultural attache said.
