ABM Expanding Polish MillNEW YORK - Dec 3/04 - SNS -- Archer Daniels Midland Company (ABM) plans to increase crushing and refining capacity at its facility in Szamotuly, Poland. ABM also plans to build a biodiesel facility at the same location when the domestic market conditions favor local production. The European Union previously announced its intention to expand market share for biofuels based on the total petrol and diesel consumption for transport purposes to meet the 2010 objectives. The company said it is "the largest biodiesel producer in Germany and one of the leading producers in Europe." ABM previously announced capacity expansion in its Hamburg, Germany facility earlier this year. In addition, ABM also operates a biodiesel facility in Leer, Germany.
