Michigan Discovers New Soldier BeanLANSING - Dec 3/04 - SNS -- Researchers at Michigan State University's (MSU) Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) have discovered a new type of Soldier bean they call Redcoat and which is available under license from MSU. The Redcoat bean is part of the family of Soldier beans, so named because their red markings look like the uniforms worn by 18th century European soldiers.
