Esso Farm Fund Raises $475,000
TORONTO - Dec 2/04 - SNS -- The Esso Farm Community Growth Fund raised CDN $475,000 this year, with the money to be used for community projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
From May to November, each time customers purchased a liters of fuel or a tonne of fertilizer from their local Esso Associate, Esso donated up to a penny towards their local fund program. Each Esso associate had a potential to raise up to $25,000 through this initiative for his or her projects. Today, 90% of the projects have met their targets.
Cheques from the Esso Farm Community Growth Fund will be presented to most of the non-profit organizations and charities in early December, 2004 and the remainder in January 2005.
