Argentina Grows More CottonWASHINGTON - Nov 15/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in Argentina will likely advance from 120,000 metric tons (MT) in 2003-04 to a possible 160,000 MT in 2004-05 because growers switched land from soybeans and sunflower into cotton. Reporting on the sector, the U.S. agricultural attache here said Argentina will likely harvest 400,000 hectares of cotton this season, well above initial predictions of a 300,000 hectare crop.
