Gloomier Undertone in Field PeasVANCOUVER - Nov 12/04 - SNS -- Field pea markets are starting to show signs of a gloomier undertone because of disappointment with the size of Canada's opening season export program. Market attitudes were not helped by reports of a record field pea crop in the United States. Shipments through the end of October total just 62,971 metric tons (MT); while clearances through licensed terminals at the Port of Vancouver reached 148,700 MT in the August through October period.
