AWP Output Rises 56%WASHINGTON - Nov 12/04 - SNS -- Austrian Winter Pea production in Idaho, Montana, and Oregon in 2004 is forecast at 272,000 cwt (100 pound units) or 12,338 metric tons (MT), up 56% from 2003, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates. Area harvested is forecast at 21,500 acres, up 38% from last year. Average yield is expected to be 1,265 pounds per acre, up 150 pounds per acre from last season.
