Shell Egg Use up 5% in September
WASHINGTON - Nov 5/04 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers in September rose 5% above year earlier levels to 168 million dozen, according to the USDA.
During calendar year 2004, shell eggs broken totaled 1.44 billion dozen, up 6% from the 1.36 billion dozen broken in 2003. Total edible liquid from eggs broken in 2004 was 1.85 billion pounds, up 7% from 2003.
