Chickpeas Continue to StrengthenVANCOUVER - Oct 29/04 - SNS -- International chickpea markets continued to strengthen during the past week in the face of poor harvest results from western Canada and concern over Australian production levels. Traders in Australia estimate this year's kabuli harvest at 5,400 metric tons (MT), down from 7,500 last year; and the desi harvest at 118,800 MT, down from 170,500 MT last year.
