Birdseeds Reveal Firmer Tone
VANCOUVER - Oct 29/04 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets maintained their firm tone during the past week, amid concerns about whether Canada's canaryseed harvest would be completed.
Though the crop can withstand adverse harvest conditions better than most, freezing rain and snowfall caused concern. Last week started with 79% of the canaryseed crop in the bin, 6% standing and 15% in swath.
