EU Repealing Retaliatory Pulse DutiesWASHINGTON - Oct 26/04 - SNS -- The United States will repeal the law which granted illegal export subsidies to U.S. firms through foreign sales corporation (FSC) scheme on January 1, 2005. As a result, the European Union will stop charging retaliatory duties on a wide range of U.S. goods, including pulses, shipped to European Union destinations. The duties started at 5% on March 1 of this year. They were increased 1% per month and will finish the year at 12% during October, 13% in November and 14% on pulses and other affected goods clearing European customs in December.
