Snow Stops Canada's Special Crop HarvestVANCOUVER - Oct 25/04 - SNS -- Western Canada's field pea and lentil harvest is virtually complete, but a significant portion of the chickpeas and dry edible beans planted this year in Saskatchewan and Manitoba may not be harvested. No progress was reported during the past week with this year's chickpea and dry edible bean harvest in either province. The week started with freezing rain reported in much of southern Saskatchewan.
